...the locking mechanism leaves a lot to be desired. You have to get down on your knees and turn a screw on the caster which pinches the wheel in a locked position. Of course, that doesn't do anything to stop the wheels from pivoting. I threw the original casters away and bought a set from an industrial tools company. My new ones can be double-locked (rotation and pivot) by stepping on them. Much easier now and the bike doesn't move around when I trying to place on center stand! Other than that, the construction is awesome. 1/2" steel plate. Doesn't have any trouble holding my 500 Lb. bike. I would give a higher review, except I had to spend $50 to improve it.
