Works well for wind, rain, bug and stone protection. It is not meant to protect against a drop. Suzuki mistakenly advertizes it for the DL650 and DL1000. It will not fit the DL1000 which comes with hand guards in stock trim and doesn't need a kit. The kit is meant only for the DL650 which has a cable activated clutch. The DL1000 has a hydraulic clutch and entirely different mounting points and this kit will not fit it.
