When I received this product one of the mounting tabs was broken. I was going to return it but instead I decided to open it and have a look at the inside. I ended up taking the insides out and putting them in my oem tail light with a little modification. the lights look a lot better with the red oem housing and the light output is also improved.

The install K2 GSRX 1000:
installing these lights are pretty simple. Since this is a replica of the oem tail light they bolt right into the tail fairing.

The light has 5 wires total.

3 wires in a 3-Pin Plug:
Black = ground connect to black and white wire on stock harness
Red = Brakes connect to white and black wire on stock harness
White = Running lights connect to brown or Green wire on stock harness depending on your year bike.

Then you have 2 separate wires:
Blue = Left turn connect to black wire on stock harness
Yellow = Right turn connect to light green or white on stock harness depending on your year bike.

The tag light comes on with the running lights, but unless you have the original rear fender on the only thing the tag light will illuminate is your rear tire.

As for the quality of the lights. The internal circuitry/led board etc looks good, well good for a Chinese made product. The light output in the smoke lens is ok, to me it could be just a little bit brighter. I guess that is the trade off for buying smoked lights.

The leds are bright enough so that when you press the brakes with the running lights on or pressing brakes with the turn signal on, it is easy for a car driving behind you to see the pattern change and not get confused as to what u are doing. So just as I received it I will give it 4 stars. in my oem housing I give it 5 stars because of the better light output and color differentiation.
