I have a 1985 Honda ATC250es, the carb came in fast..... and fit in the boots for the intake and airbox but that was it. The threads for the throttle cable were the wrong size. I let that slide, with some fabricating I got it hooked up. Then the choke was extremely tight..... so I had to rig that up with a universal push pull choke knob from an auto store. After all that it runs RICH ALL THE TIME! I am running a stock airbox, so when I run the air/fuel screw all the way in it should cut the bike off..... nothing happens. Leading me to believe the pilot jet is too big. Overall..... buy a rebuild kit and keep your original equipment.
