Tail light is equipped with Stop Alert function, in which 3 quick flashes are applied when the brakes are pressed. Sequential LEDs flash in sequence in the direction you are turning or merging so there is no confusion which way you are going.
A microprocessor is use with an integrated circuit chip (IC) to control all the functions of park, brake, and sequential signals. All IC chips are micro soldered by machine to deliver consistent and reliable solder points.

The tail light is brighter than I expected, but it has a fairly narrow viewing angle. More than adequate for street riding though and it's DOT approved so that'll avoid any hassle with the authorities.

Installation is straightforward and requires no solder or splicing. It comes with plugs ready to go straight into the stock wiring harness. The fit is exactly like the OEM tail light, maybe a bit tighter even. Less wiggling than the stock one at any rate.

The only downsides are that the resistor/regulator brick it comes with is huge and it has to be used. But you can wire any other LED flashers you have in parallel with it, before the brick, and everything works fine. That's because it really only uses the signals for logic so it's not current sensitive. It makes wiring other signals in easy, if you're so inclined. Although that will require some soldering.

The tint is fairly light, but you have to expect that with the DOT approval. So it's not going to look "blacked out". If you're going for that look, look elsewhere. But all in all, I think they're better than Clear Alternatives, and for a little cheaper even.
