I have been using redline motor oil in my 95 Land Cruiser for at least 5 years. We put less than 10,000 miles on the vehicle in a year. I like the extended oil change interval. I change the filter at 5,000 miles and top it off. I change the oil at the end of the year regardless of the overall mileage driven. I have heard that synthetic oil will cause more oil leaks in older vehicles, but I not experienced that with My Land cruiser. On a side note , never use synthetic oil to break in a newly overhauled engine. It does not allow the engine to seat properly, and will ruin all your hard work.
