Here is the big question everyone fights about " Twist or Thumb Throttle?" I ordered this kit to find out myself as nobody had a straight answer online. I ride a lot at Belfair Wa. ORV park. its lots of open area and lots of tight wooded trails. some technical trails and lots of water, a few hill climbs and miles of service roads... The installation on my 2008 Honda TRX450ER was not hard at all, Took about an hour start to finish. Tip for you, sand down the residue after removing the grip from the bars before you install the new throttle. the instructions were pretty self explanatory and easy to follow witch is not so common these days... after your all adjusted up and ready to ride hold on for a day of learning how to ride all over again, in the open area and the straight aways it was great just like my dirt bike was, and in the sand it was pretty good too, however in the tight trails with lots of roots and dips and mud pits i found myself feathering the clutch a lot to keep the bike from flying off the trail into the bush. i don't like my thumb throttle but i don't like the idea of changing my clutches every time i change my oil ether so for now im stuck with the thumb throttle because i ride in the woods most of the time. Great product for the open area rider, smooth action , and easy assembly. hope this helps you make your decision easier.
