First lets clear up the "plastic" swivel loops. The carabineer is made out of metal and has an injection molded plastic case around it. This makes the hooks better than those cheap plastic-dipped ones. I've ordered one set of these, and a set of the pro-taper. I haven't even opened the pro taper set because I like the Matrix Concepts. I put 120 highway miles on the straps so far and no frays, they look brand new. The loose end of the strap has a loop end which helps sinch down the bike. I have no idea what the slider name plate is supposed to do, and can't see anyway that tucks away excess strap. If anything it helps prevent the taught part of the strap from buzzing in the wind. I would definitely recommend buying these.

It was a bit of a struggle to get these boots on when I first got them, but after a couple more tries I got the hang of it. Unfortunately I soon discovered that the velcro flaps meant to cover the laces and add ankle support were about half an inch too short to fit over my foot. Now normally, I would associate this with having ordered the wrong size, but no...there is plenty of room inside the shoe. Almost too much room in fact, because I can not only wiggle my toes, but the top half of my foot. The laces fit over the ankle with enough room to tie them into a neat little bow...I just can't close the darn velcro.

So, I don't suggest them for someone with a tall dorsum like me. That, or ignore the advice to go a size smaller, stick with your actual shoe size, and deal with the slightly too large sole.

I ordered this helmet and though Icons look great this is the worst helmet to buy for the summer. Within 15 minutes of even highway riding there was no noticeable airflow and the black makes the helmet too hot. Only reason I would not buy is due to the heat and airflow.
