Scorpion EXO-400 Solid Wine X-Small Full Face Helmet Review

I purchased the exo-400 based on the reviews. The fit is better than average, but the "speedshifters" to release the shield are anything but. One side popped off with a little coaxing, but the other is still attached after 10 minutes... trying hard not to use force and break anything as the helmet is less than a month old.

This will be my sixth helmet in my riding career over the past 20 years.

Moose Racing Pully Kit for Moose Plow Systems - -- Review

Such a simple thing this Pulley assembly is. And the $40 price tag is worth many times that much to the operation of your Moose plow. This assembly does three very simple, yet extremely important things.

First, if you have a standard Winch mount set up on your ATV that is angled straight ahead, (as opposed to the Moose winch mount which angles the fairlead down to a perfect angle for a snow plow), this pulley assembly significantly reduces the angle of attack between the winch and plow lift point. This in turn reduces the strain and wear on the cable where it runs over the fairlead and also reduces the amount of force needed to lift the plow.

Second, you are adding a 2:1 mechanical advantage to your winch by inserting a “moveable pulley221; system. So if it takes 200 lb’s of force to raise your plow, the winch only has to exert 100 lbs of force, while your rack supplies the other 100.

Third, the pulley system cuts the speed at which the plow is raised and lowered in half, which gives you much smoother and finer control over your plow, an important advantage when banking snow up.

So in short, this pulley assembly significantly reduces the strain on the Winch and the cable, reduces the angle of attack from your standard ATV winch mount, reduces the amount of force exerted by the winch by half, and gives you a much smoother and more controllable lift lower ability. The addition of a pulley makes so much sense; it should honestly come with the plow kit as stock equipment, not an add-on. But for forty bucks, it’s a no brainer.

Attaching this to your plow is as simple as unbolting the Plow Blade Position assembly (4 bolts), and then re-bolting it back in place with the pulley arms on top of it. The pulley is removable and mounted between the arms by a bolt/pin, which is also how you get your winch cable put in proper position to lift the plow. It’s a ten min job to attach this Pulley assembly.

You can connect the hook to either your rack, front bumper rack if you have one, or back to the hook point on the winch mount if you have one. Attaching the hook to any of these three points will affect how high the plow can be raised with regards to the RM3 and RM4, but won’t make any diff on the old school under mount push tubes, but be warned. If you hook the cable high on your front rack, it is possible to lift the RM4 plow high enough to damage your rack. This can be prevented simply by setting the strap correctly so the cable travel is prevented from lifting the plow too high. You can actually pull the plow up and over the front of the ATV and smash your front rack tubes if you do not take care.

This is a no brainer, and a must have item.

Raider ATV-21 ATV Rear Drop Basket Review

I bought this basket even though there were no reviews because the similarly priced Komodo ATVRDB02 basket listed problems with the part that attaches to the ATV rack interfering with seat removal. This Raider basket does not interfere with the seat at all. It is also slightly heavier by over 4 lb, and I hoped that would mean heavier metal throughout. It is in fact a heavy duty basket and well constructed. In particular, look at the rear corners of both baskets to see wire mesh on the Komodo and solid metal on the Raider. The included mounting hardware is likewise heavy duty and worked on my Yamaha 700 Grizzly, but not as well as I would have liked. I used four of the clamps that came with it, but I intend to add at least two U clamps for additional support as the supplied clamps could not be used to secure the basket to the sturdier tubular frame on the Yamaha's rack. The basket part does remove from the frame that goes on the rack if you don't want it there all of the time, but you have to remove four bolts to do it. I am going to look for some kind of quick release bolts to use there instead so that, hopefully, I can remove the basket without needing wrenches. The basket does not hang down so low that it interferes with hooking my trailer up, so I may not want to remove it that often anyway. I would recommend this product to you, and you can't beat the price given the free shipping.
